Sodium chloride is widely used in biochemical and molecular biology research. It is used for the removal of small nucleic acid fragments from plasmid DNA preparations and the precipitation of DNA from samples containing SDS. Its use has also been described in protocols for DNA isolation from mammalian cells cultured in multiwell plates and small mammalian tissue samples. Sodium chloride is also used in chemical DNA sequencing.
SODIUM CHLORIDE
