In view of the adulteration of meat products on the market, this kit was developed to identify whether meat products contain donkey-derived ingredients. The kit uses real-time PCR technology for the detection and amplification of DNA regions that belong exclusively to the donkey, ass, donkey, donkeykin, donkey or donkeykin (Equus africanus asinus). The kit is a polymerase chain reaction method combined with TaqMan® probes that exclusively detect donkey DNA. the kit can detect 0.1% of donkey-derived components. The kit is compatible with the Gene Pure Automated Nucleic Acid Extraction System and the Bioer® Quant Gene Series Real-Time PCR Detection System or similar series instruments from other companies.
