DNA and RNA can be isolated from cultured eukaryotic cells, animal and plant tissues. This kit, which uses an innovative buffer system, does not require phenol-chloroform extractions and provides a column to separate pure genomic DNA from total RNA. The purified DNA is suitable for downstream applications such as restriction endonuclease digests, PCR, etc. Isolated RNA can be used for mRNA isolations, probe generation, RT-PCR, Northern transfer analysis, PCR.
