This kit provides a simple, fast and cost-effective method that can isolate high quality DNA. Using a single simple protocol, high-throughput purified DNA can be isolated from a variety of samples, including animal tissue, whole blood, leukocyte coat, leukocytes, and cultured cells. The kit uses silica-based membrane techniques in a convenient centrifuge column, without the need for expensive resins, toxic phenol-chloroform extractions or time-consuming alcohol precipitations. The entire procedure takes less than 30 minutes, including the lysis steps, and more than 20 kb of DNA can be purified with this kit. Isolated DNA can be directly applied to PCR, Southern blotting and other enzymatic reactions.
