Molecular diagnostic kit (qPCR) for the detection of Edwardsiella tarda – PF0003

Kit for molecular detection (qPCR) of
Edwardsiella tarda
with Taqman probe system

Molecular diagnostic kit (qPCR) for the detection of Edwardsiella tarda – PF0003

Real-time polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) works by allowing amplification of a fragment of interest from the total DNA of a particular microorganism or pathogen. Initially, a DNA sample is taken as a starting point and then successively amplified in a PCR reaction. In the case of the PATHOGEN Fish line kits, amplification is detected by the use of probes (Taqman) that report such amplification. These probes are based on the technology of an emitting fluorophore and a repressor dye or quencher.

The kit for the molecular detection (qPCR) of
Edwardsiella tarda
comes in a presentation for 100 reactions, includes as a positive control bacterial genomic DNA of the strain of
Edwardsiella tarda
ATCC® 15947TM (Ewing and McWhorter) from the American Type Culture Collection (ATCC) biobank.
