The kit provides a very simple, fast and inexpensive method for the isolation of high molecular weight and pure genomic DNA from plant tissues by using the genomic DNA buffer set. The purification procedure is based on the selectivity of the Biospin membrane, allowing the isolation of large amounts of pure genomic DNA in less than one hour. It requires no expensive equipment, only a few steps, and completely avoids the use of toxic and dangerous reagents such as phenol and chloroform. In general, 1-30 μg of genomic DNA can be obtained from up to 100 mg of tissue with this kit. The pure DNA obtained can be widely used in real-time PCR/PCR, sequencing, Southern blotting, mutant analysis, SNP, among others.
