The kit uses real-time PCR technology for the detection and amplification of DNA regions that belong exclusively to the donkey, ass, donkey, donkeykin, donkey or donkeykin (Equus africanus asinus). The kit is a polymerase chain reaction method combined with TaqMan\u00ae probes that exclusively detect donkey DNA. the kit can detect 0.1% of donkey-derived components.
