Initially, a DNA sample is taken as a starting point and then successively amplified in a PCR reaction. In the case of the PATHOGEN Fish line kits, amplification is detected by the use of probes (Taqman) that report such amplification. These probes are based on the technology of an emitting fluorophore and a repressor dye or quencher.

The kit for the molecular detection (qPCR) of
Streptococcus agalactiae
Molecular Detection Kit (qPCR), which comes in a 100-reaction kit, includes as a positive control bacterial genomic DNA of the strain of
Streptococcus agalactiae strain
ATCC® 51487TM (Lehmann and Neumann) from the American Type Culture Collection (ATCC) bio-bank.

Kit components

Component

Quantity (Cat.
